American actor Paul Walker, 40, star of the popular "Fast and Furious" movies, died in a car accident on Saturday night, reported its agents.
"It is with great regret that we must inform you that Paul Walker died in a tragic car accident while participating in a charity event for your organization Reach Out Worldwide," says the actor message on Facebook.
"He was a passenger in a friend's car, and both lost their lives," the statement added.
Walker stood out as the cop Brian O'Conner in the movie series "The Fast and the Furious," starring Vin Diesel dividing casting and Michelle Rodriguez. He died when the red Porsche when it was slammed against a tree and caught fire at 15:30 Local (21:30 GMT) on Saturday in the city of Santa Clarita in Los Angeles County.
